Podcast Interview

Marta in her studio, 2020

I am thrilled to share some exciting news! In June 2020, invited to be a guest on Curator on the Go Podcast. This podcast often keeps me company while I paint so you can imagine how excited (and nervous) I was to be invited for an interview. Not sure if all artists feel this way but I sometimes find it easier to talk about someone else’s work. The opportunity to chat with Liza really pushed me to reflect on my own practice and to think more deeply about what inspires me to create.

We talked about my childhood, the artists I admire, and my most memorable group exhibition experience so far. Liza also asked difficult questions like, “Do you ever experience creativity blocks?” to which I answered YES. In fact, there was a time I didn’t paint for a few years. You’ll have to listen to find out what finally inspired me to pick up a brush and get back in the studio.

I’m super happy to be able to share my artistic journey with you.

Listen here Episode 39 or find it on your favourite podcast app by searching “Curator on the Go”.

Thanks so much for listening!
