PODCAST Interview
I am thrilled to share some exciting news! I was recently invited to be a guest on Curator on the Go Podcast. This podcast often keeps me company while I paint so you can imagine how excited (and nervous) I was to be invited for an interview. Not sure if all artists feel this way but I often find it easier to talk about someone else’s work. The opportunity to chat with Liza really pushed me to reflect on my own practice and to think more deeply about what inspires me to create.
We talked about my childhood, the artists I admire, and my most memorable group exhibition experience so far. Liza also asked difficult questions like, “Do you ever experience creativity blocks?” to which I answered YES. In fact, there was a time I didn’t paint for a few years. You’ll have to listen to find out what finally inspired me to pick up a brush and get back in the studio.
I’m super happy to be able to share my artistic journey with you.

Thanks so much for listening!

This painting was donated to Fudger House, a long-term care home, through an initiative called Canadian Art in Isolation, which connects Toronto artists with seniors to provide works of art to be displayed in their rooms.
Have a listen to my interview with CBC reporter Jelena Adzic to learn more about this wonderful initiative and my painting.

This painting was on display at the Ontario Legislative Assembly. I just love the idea that original art is not limited to gallery spaces and can be enjoyed by a diverse audience in a variety of places.
This painting is currently in a private collection in Bradford, Ontario.
